Role Overview:

Managing and optimizing data connections between internal and external systems. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure that data transmitted across systems is accurate, complete, and consistent. Perform data validation checks and troubleshoot discrepancies in data flows.
  • API & Interface Management: Manage and support data integration APIs  and other data exchange methods (e.g., file transfer protocols, ETL processes). Ensure that connections are secure, functional, and efficient.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve data connection issues, such as data mismatches, connection failures, or latency problems. Work closely with IT and development teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Integration Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of data connections, including integration workflows, mapping specifications, and error logs. Ensure clear and accurate records of all data interfaces.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct testing on new data connections and integrations to ensure they are functioning as expected before going live. Monitor and report on the success of integrations post-deployment.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., IT, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence) and external vendors to ensure that data integrations meet business needs and are aligned with the company’s data architecture.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and scalability of Operations. Work with teams to implement automation and optimize data integration processes.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc data analysis as requested by key stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 
    •3+ years of experience in data integration, data analysis, or a similar role, with a strong focus on managing data connections and interfaces.
    •Experience of working in wealth management/ alternative asset management industry.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet software.
    • Knowledge of data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL tools, API integration, web services).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
    • Familiarity with database management or SQL is desirable.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical data and insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection and analysis.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
